Dead Raven Choir - My Firstborn Will Surely Be Blind
Black Neo-Folk project gone awry, but damn is it good. It's not even Metal, but apparently the content of the "band" and overall demeanor of the sound was enough to earn it a spot in the mentions of respected Metal publications. It's a lone maniac recording on 70s equipment with a cello, percussion of sorts, acoustic guitars, all that stuff. And I also should mention this album is a collection of country/folk song covers, all given a croaky vocal treatment. Enjoy, sick fucks.
