Fragile Nova - One Day Beyond

Oh my, attack of the clones! Yes, another band accused of being a ripoff of a Melodic Death Metal band. Wanna guess In Flames or Children Of Bodom? (Hint: it's the first one). Either way, as cloney as they're accused of being, they're fucken good.
Deadlock - Wolves

Metalcore/Melodic Death Metal upstarts from Germany who share a fascination with Scandanavia's mascot. They fuse Metal with Techno. Tried and true? Not really, but the little techno interlude on 'End Begins' wouldn't be missed... Anyways, it's a hard-hitting release with Beauty and the Beast vocals. Something you might wanna check out.
Deathgaze - Awake -Evoke The Urge-

Japanese Nu/Thrash/Death/Groove/Whateverelsetheyplay Metal band's second full length hits hard with lots of melody and aggression. Also, they play in Drop-A or B. My ears aren't fine tuned to tunings but I can tell they play something low as fuck, giving it a pretty damn heavy sound.

Trivium - 2002 EP

The band that people adore and loathe in equal measure for daring to be Thrash Metal and Metalcore at the same time and also earning nominations for the "next Metallica" (However unintentional it was). With this EP they start out with a mix of Power Metal, Thrash Metal, lots of Progressive influence(i.e. long songs), and the dreaded Chemical X, Metalcore. Recommended songs: To Burn The Eye, Requiem

Her Demise, My Rise - Demo

Mostly unkown Death/Moshcore crew from out of California, they possess an uncompromising of Death Metal and Hardcore. Whether it's the simple one chord breakdowns or furious tremolos and sweeps, they kick ass and don't like sceenie weenie mosh pits.
Children Of Bodom - Hate Crew Deathroll

Dropping some of the Neo-Classical and Black Metal influences and going for a thrashier and more kickass approach to Melodic Death Metal, this release has shown that CoB can just rock your face off and not have to wank all the time. But either way, they still rule.
Norther - N

Norther, yet another "Bodom clone" from Finland, put out catchy Melodic Death/Power Metal suitable for human consumption. With tracks like "We Rock" and "Frozen Angel", they struggle to shake off the accusations that they're trying to be the next CoB.
